MicroMenders approach to disaster recovery planning
is based on ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), the
framework and best practices for IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM).
An organizational overview of MicroMenders ITSCM service offering is described
by ITIL’s Business Continuity Life Cycle as shown in the diagram
below.
Following project initiation, during the Requirements Analysis and Strategy
Definition phase, we perform a Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessment
to identify your business requirements for disaster recovery, threats
and vulnerabilities that may affect IT Service availability, and risk
reduction measures. We then present you with an ITSCM Strategy Recommendations
document that includes options for risk reduction measures and recovery
strategies as well as the estimated costs for the various options.
During Implementation MicroMenders will develop a Disaster Recovery Plan
for IT Services, coordinate implementation of chosen risk reduction measures
and drive the development of recovery procedures for each IT Service.
MicroMenders has extensive experience with IT design and implementation
projects, and qualified network and systems engineers at all levels that
we leverage during this stage to effect the rapid deployment of selected
systems, tools, and procedures.
Operational Management covers operational processes the client should
implement in order to ensure that the organization’s disaster recovery
preparedness is sustained, disaster recovery plans and procedures are
kept up to date and that staff are trained in performing recovery activities.
MicroMenders can assist your organization’s IT staff in developing
and deploying the operational practices, as well as providing periodic
Operational Reviews to monitor progress and ensure that deployed practices
are being maintained within the organization.
